Python Job: Software Developer

Your Role and Responsibilities
As part of IBM Chief Information Officer organization, you will work as a Software Developer with IBM internal stakeholders and application owners to transform the transform the way zOS/Mainframe systems are supported, patched, upgraded, provisioned, decommissioned, configured.
The Software Development team will be responsible to: Code Ansible Playbooks and Python algorithms; Test Playbooks; Deploy Playbooks in Production (Ansible Tower central repository); Fix Bugs on failed Playbooks and Document solutions.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Knowledge on coding with Python and Ansible Playbooks.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken skills.
• Solid experience with IT support or development.
• Able to work without supervision, to manage priorities and to thrive on teamwork with Scrum methods.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Mainframe experience is a plus.
• Ansible experience on Mainframe is a HUGE plus.
• Zowe, ZOAU, R3S are a plus.
• zOS Middleware (DB2, IMS, MQ, CICS) or Base/Storage/TWS systems management/support experience are a big plus too.
